You do not need an account. You subscribe to public calfeeds without registration, without an email address, and without payment details – just tap the subscribe link or paste the calendar URL, done.
There is one exception: for individual protected calendars, the calendar owner has to approve your subscription first. You leave a short message for them and see the events once they confirm – no account needed for that either.
What data is created when subscribing?
Your calendar service (for example Apple, Google, or Microsoft) fetches the calendar URL from calovo regularly. Like any web server, we see technical access data such as the IP address and the calendar software used. Every subscription also contains a random identifier in its calendar URL; we use it to count how often a calendar is fetched. We do not link that to a person.
What we cannot do: look into your calendar. calovo never sees your private events, contacts, or any other content of your calendar – the connection works in one direction only: your calendar picks up events from us.

Why does the Android app want calendar access?
Because it writes the subscribed events into the calendar directly on your device – there is no other way technically. The app creates a dedicated account called “Calovo Calendars” and works exclusively in the calendars underneath it. Your personal events stay untouched, are not read, and are not transmitted to us. If you uninstall the app, only the subscribed calendars disappear.
And what about an account?
There is none – calovo has no subscriber accounts. Raffles, prediction games, and challenges only need an email address and a display name, more about that here.
Will I receive ads or emails?
You only receive emails you triggered yourself – for example by taking part in a raffle or prediction game. For plain subscribing we do not have your email address. Individual events in a calfeed may contain service links and clearly labelled sponsor notes; here we explain what is inside an event.
